Job summary

Syensqo is seeking an Internal Audit Project Manager in Lisbon, Portugal, to lead planning, execution, and delivery of internal audit engagements in alignment with IIA standards. The role reports to the Deputy Head of Internal Audit, with responsibilities across planning, execution, reporting, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in auditing, a relevant bachelor’s (master’s preferred), and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of proven experience in internal or external auditing.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk management and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit planning with the Deputy Head of Internal Audit, defining timeline, scope and resources.
• Oversee execution of audits per IIA Global Standards and internal methodologies; review workpapers and reports.
• Apply data analytics to enhance audit efficiency and risk detection; monitor progress and deadlines.
