Job summary

Banco Santander Sa is seeking an Internal Audit Project Manager in Lisbon, Portugal. The role leads planning, execution, and delivery of internal audit engagements, ensuring alignment with IIA standards and governance frameworks.

You will mentor teams and engage stakeholders across geographies, while driving continuous improvement and risk insight. The position requires 8+ years in auditing, a relevant degree (Master's preferred), and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of proven experience in internal or external auditing.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit planning, scope, and resource allocation with the Deputy Head of Internal Audit.
• Oversee execution of audits per IIA Global Internal Audit Standards and internal methodologies.
• Prepare and present comprehensive audit reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Mentor, coach, and develop internal audit staff; contribute to methodology improvements.
