Wire IT in Portugal is seeking a DBA (MS SQL Server & Oracle) to join our hybrid Porto or Lisbon team, focusing on enterprise database administration.

You will manage SQL Server and Oracle, optimise performance, implement governance, and work with Azure SQL Managed Instances and on‑prem Oracle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a DBA
• SQL Server and Oracle administration and configuration
• Azure SQL Managed Instances experience
• Oracle Database on-premises experience
• Strong knowledge of database performance, diagnostics and monitoring
• Experience with governance, reliability, capacity planning and operational best practices
• Experience identifying and remediating database risks
• Ability to create technical documentation and runbooks
• Strong mentoring and knowledge-transfer skills
• Experience working in Azure and Windows Server environments
