ITDS Portugal is seeking a Mid-Level COBOL Developer in Lisbon to maintain and enhance core custody applications within a large financial institutions’ tech team. The role offers a hybrid work model with up to 2 remote days per week, supporting global operations.

You will work on mainframe COBOL, perform analysis, document processes, and contribute to incident management and code quality in a dynamic environment. Strong English and mainframe skills are essential.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of COBOL development on mainframe platforms.
• Strong knowledge of IBM Developer for z/OS and COBOL programming.
• Experience with DB2, SQL, and JCL scripting.
• MQSeries knowledge would be a plus.
• Good communication skills in English (B2 level).

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and develop existing mainframe applications using COBOL and related technologies.
• Conduct technical analysis to support app enhancements and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and update technical documentation for system processes and tickets.
• Estimate effort and resources required for new and ongoing tickets.
• Perform unit testing to ensure code quality and robustness.
• Support incident management, collaborating with teams and business units as needed.
