We are looking for a Junior Cobol Developer for a hybrid project based in Porto or Lisbon.

Requirements:

• 1 - 3 years of experience in Cobol development.
• Experience with IBM Mainframe (Z/OS).
• Consistent knowledge in COBOL.
• Consistent knowledge in with JCL.
• Familiarity with TN3270 or Poeme.
• Familiarity with debug tools.
• English good level is mandatory (min B2).

Responsibilities:

• Develop COBOL features: Develop new features and improve the existing ones, ensuring thant they meet all the needs of our users.
• Support COBOL Components: Work on our legacy IBM Mainframe (Z/OS) COBOL component, maintaining and enhancing its functionality.
• Process Monitoring: Ensure that ourbatch process are executed properly and generate the expected results.
• Data Analysis: Understand the business rules and analyze the processed data according to these business rules.
• Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot Issues: Quickly identify and resolve application issues to minimize service disruption.
• Testing: Conduct unit and integration tests as well as the corresponding documentation.
• Documentation: Maintain and enhance documentation related to application support and development processes, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
