📍 Location

Lisbon (Hybrid: 2–3 days onsite per week)

🗣 Languages

English (B2 minimum) – French (B2) is a strong plus!

✅ Eligibility

Priority will be given to candidates residing in Portugal with legal work authorization; other candidates who already hold a valid visa for Portugal will be considered at a later stage.

• Experienced COBOL Developer with strong background in mainframe environments
• Solid knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, Telon, XML
• Familiarity with TSO/Eclipse and Changeman for mainframe development and deployment
• Basic scripting knowledge in Unix Shell and experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience or knowledge of Pacbase is a plus
• Comfortable working in agile teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
• Proactive and quality‑focused mindset, capable of troubleshooting and problem‑solving
• Fluent in English; French is an advantage depending on project needs

• Programming: COBOL (Mainframe), JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM
• Tools: TSO/Eclipse, Changeman, Jira, Confluence, Eclipse IDE
• Other: Telon, XML, Unix Shell scripting, CI/CD pipelines
• Languages: English (mandatory), French (nice to have)

⚙️ What You Will Be Doing (Concrete responsibilities)

• Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL programs in mainframe environments
• Work with JCL to schedule and manage batch jobs
• Collaborate with DB2 database teams to optimize SQL queries and ensure data integrity
• Support and troubleshoot Telon‑generated applications and XML data processing
• Use tools like Changeman and Eclipse for version control and code deployment
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and work closely with business and IT stakeholders
• Help implement CI/CD processes to streamline software delivery
• Assist with testing and validation to ensure high‑quality releases
