Job summary

ewi is a specialist electrical engineering consultancy focused on data centres and high‑voltage infrastructure projects. The HV Estimator translates tender documents, technical specs and drawings into complete cost models covering equipment, materials, labour, subcontracts, engineering, logistics, site establishment and risk to form the commercial basis for bids.

Work with Bid Management, Design Engineering, Procurement and Project Delivery teams; maintain cost databases and estimating tools;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; certification is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in cost estimating for MV/HV substations or power infrastructure.
• Experience estimating EPC or design-and-build contracts; contractor environment preferred.
• Proven track record in tender estimates covering equipment, labour, subcontracts and risk.
• Familiarity with Nordic markets and grid-owner requirements is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, specifications, drawings and contract conditions to define the scope and basis of estimate.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for MV/HV substations and related projects.
• Carry out quantity take-offs from diagrams and civil drawings for equipment and works.
• Build labour estimates using productivity norms and crew rates.
• Handover awarded estimates to project teams and support budgeting and cost breakdowns.
