Azure Dine & Hire in Almada, Portugal is seeking an experienced Head Chef to oversee all kitchen operations, menu planning, and staff management. A minimum of 5 years in a leadership chef role is required, with proficiency in English and Portuguese preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Proven track record in menu planning and creating new dishes.
• Strong leadership to manage a kitchen team.
• English and Portuguese communication preferred.
• Culinary degree or certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and high-quality menu items that meet customers' preferences and seasonal availability.
• Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
• Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of ingredients to maintain freshness.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with management to create budgets and monitor kitchen expenses.
• Continuously evaluate kitchen processes to identify areas for improvement.
