We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our fine dining restaurant in the beautiful city of Braga, Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and create new menu items based on local and seasonal ingredients
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to high quality standards
• Train and supervise kitchen staff including chefs, cooks and assistants
• Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to maintain efficient operations
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety regulations
• Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events or promotions

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role
• Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques including modern cooking methods
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years experience working in a fine dining restaurant as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
• Fluent in English; Portuguese language skills are a plus

We offer a competitive salary of 1600$ per month for this full-time position.
