Job summary

Noesis Portugal is seeking a skilled backend developer to design, implement, and maintain Go-based services in a cloud-first AWS environment. The role emphasizes code quality, security, scalability, and collaboration within the squad.

You'll work with Docker, CI/CD, databases such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, and messaging systems like Kafka or SQS, contributing to architecture decisions and documentation while growing technical skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience or strong interest in backend development with Golang.
• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, Git, and CI/CD.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL, Redis/Valkey, or DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with messaging systems and event-driven architectures like Kafka or SQS.
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing and software architecture principles.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Golang within a cloud-first AWS environment;
• Implement technical solutions, including code, infrastructure-as-code, automated tests, and CI/CD pipelines, from development through to production;
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with the squad to ensure code quality, security, scalability, and maintainability;
• Contribute to technical documentation and the continuous improvement of systems, architectures, and development practices.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field;
• Experience or strong interest in backend development with Golang;
• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, Git, and CI/CD;
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL, Redis/Valkey, or DynamoDB;
• Familiarity with messaging systems and event-driven architectures, such as Kafka or SQS;
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing and software architecture principles such as DDD or Clean Architecture;
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and learning mindset.
