Job summary

Match Profiler, an information systems consultancy, is seeking a Golang-focused developer for a flexible hybrid role in Lisbon or Porto. You will contribute to back-end services and microservices with RESTful APIs, focusing on reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in Go and backend development, experience with Docker and databases, and thrives in Agile teams. English fluency is required; knowledge of Azure/Kubernetes is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Go (Golang) development experience.
• 2+ years of backend software development experience.
• Experience with microservices-based architectures.
• Designing, developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong Docker experience and containerized applications.
• Solid SQL and NoSQL database knowledge.
• Experience with software testing, debugging and version control.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum/SAFe).
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices is a plus.
• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
• English fluency.

What we are looking for

Hard skills

• >2 years of experience developing applications with Go (Golang).
• >2 years of overall backend software development experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining microservices-based applications.
• Experience designing, developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong experience with Docker and containerized application development.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including testing, debugging and version control.
• Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or SAFe.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native solutions is a plus.
• Experience in backend and frontend integration activities is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures is a plus.
• Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience supporting high-availability, customer-facing applications is a plus.
• Knowledge of Angular, or willingness to learn it is a plus.
• Fluency of English.
