Job summary

Nestlé is seeking a Transport Optimizer to join our logistics team in Portugal. You will drive transportation efficiency by optimizing vehicle utilization, building loads, and planning transit to meet service goals while containing costs.

Collaborating with warehouses, carriers and Supply Chain stakeholders, you will monitor performance, identify improvement opportunities and contribute to sustainability initiatives across our logistics operations. Fluent Spanish is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport planning, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
• Fluency in Spanish is mandatory; English is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of transport cost and service optimization principles.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Position Summary

Nestlé is currently looking for a Transport Optimizer (transport planner). You will be responsible for:

• Drive transportation efficiency by optimizing vehicle utilization and minimizing freight expenses, while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• Perform a variety of roles including load building, transit planning, and other transportation cost-and-service-based optimization activities for Nestle.
• Monitor and manage all deliveries with carriers to ensure compliance to requirements within agreed criteria and parameters to ensure efficient operations with no additional costs.
• Generate optimal transportation plans while respecting network and customer service requirements.
• Identify opportunities for load consolidation and transportation optimization.
• Improve vehicle utilization and transport efficiency.
• Collaborate with warehouses, carriers and Supply Chain stakeholders.
• Monitor performance indicators and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives within logistics operations.
