Job summary
Bosch Portugal is seeking a Commercial Buyer to shape sourcing strategy in an international setting. You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive cost optimization, secure capacities for new projects, and support sustainable growth.
The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree and at least five years in purchasing or supply chain, with strong analytical skills and fluency in English (German a plus). Hybrid work and health insurance are provided.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Strategic Procurement, Category Management, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in international environments and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong understanding of category management, sourcing strategies, supplier management, and procurement processes.
- Fluent English written and spoken; German is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies for assigned material groups.
- Analyzing market and supplier data to identify opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and cost optimization.
- Managing supplier relationships and negotiating commercial agreements to achieve business objectives.
- Securing supplier capacities for new projects and ensuring readiness to support future business demand.
- Driving initiatives related to supply chain resilience, risk mitigation, and supply continuity.
- Leading cross-functional projects involving purchasing, engineering, logistics, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Monitoring procurement market trends and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and value creation.

As a Commercial Buyer, you will play a key role in shaping Bosch's sourcing strategy and ensuring a resilient and competitive supply base. Working in an international environment, you will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive business success, support new product launches, and contribute to sustainable growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies for assigned material groups.
- Analyzing market and supplier data to identify opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and cost optimization.
- Managing supplier relationships and negotiating commercial agreements to achieve business objectives.
- Securing supplier capacities for new projects and ensuring readiness to support future business demand.
- Driving initiatives related to supply chain resilience, risk mitigation, and supply continuity.
- Supporting the resolution of material shortages and supply challenges in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leading cross-functional projects involving purchasing, engineering, logistics, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Managing stakeholder relationships at different organizational levels and influencing strategic procurement decisions.
- Monitoring procurement market trends and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and value creation.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Strategic Procurement, Category Management, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience working in an international environment and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong understanding of category management, sourcing strategies, supplier management, and procurement processes.
- Experience in supplier negotiations, cost optimization initiatives, and risk management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform data into actionable business decisions.
- Knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing environments is considered an advantage.
- Fluent English skills, written and spoken.
- German language skills are a plus.
