Job summary

JPM Industry in Portugal is seeking a Sales Engineer to support the Commercial & Marketing Department and the sales team in achieving strategic objectives. You will identify customer needs, work with Engineering to craft solutions, and present and negotiate proposals to win business.

The role requires visiting customers, coordinating with production, and ensuring changes are reflected in documentation. Excellent English is essential; knowledge of French or Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Higher education qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or Industrial Management.
• General knowledge of sales and commercial activities.
• Experience in the food industry, intralogistics, and industrial robotics.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on leads identified or proposed by the Commercial & Marketing Department.
• Manage projects as a whole, involving both the customer and the internal structure of JPM Industry.
• Search for and identify sales leads.
• Collaborate with the Engineering and Production Departments to find the best technical solution.
• Provide technical support and solutions throughout the customer negotiation process.
• Present the ideal technical solution to the customer, including layouts, commercial proposals, products, and/or systems.
• Visit customers to assess their needs and follow up on projects.
• Manage any changes requested by the customer, adjusting the final documentation and proposals to customers.
• Ensure that customer expectations are consistently met.
• Manage customer relationships in alignment with the principles and values of JPM Industry.
