Job summary

Siemens Energy invites a seasoned executive to lead the Head of Business Applications role for GT Digital Services. You will steer the development and delivery engine across the global Grid Technologies portfolio, aligning PLM/ERP/MES/CRM platforms with end-to-end business processes.

You will manage a large team of internal and external experts, drive modernization, and partner with governance and architecture to deliver high-quality results at scale.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience managing large application development and operations teams (50-100+ FTEs) in global industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience with strategic vendor and technology supplier management, including contract negotiation and performance management.
• Ability to translate technology investments into tangible business outcomes and manage large budgets effectively.
• Strong change management and transformation leadership across globally distributed teams; proven ability to drive adoption.
• Expert knowledge of core enterprise platforms (PLM, ERP, MES, CRM/FSM, PM) and modern software practices (Agile/SAFe, CI/CD, DevOps).
• Background in applications programming or solutions development and familiarity with IT applications.
• Strong cloud (AWS/Azure), data architecture, ITSM/ITIL, portfolio and program management expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large, multi-layered organization of application managers, developers and service owners; drive excellence and growth.
• Accountable for end-to-end delivery of application projects and programs on time and within budget.
• Champion modernization and transition towards an Agile operating model; push for productivity improvements.
• Oversee the application portfolio lifecycle for Grid Technologies; make strategic technology and investment decisions.
• Ensure operational stability, performance and security of critical business applications.
