Job summary

Cross Border Talents invites you to join its Finance Operations team as a Junior Accounts Receivable / O2C Specialist in Porto, Portugal. You will learn invoice processing, payment allocation, and account updates while supporting day-to-day finance activities in a collaborative, international environment.

You should be detail-oriented with strong analytical skills; German (C1/C2) and English (C1) are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 6 months of experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), Order-to-Cash (O2C) or Finance Operations.
• Fluent in German (C1/C2) and English (C1)

Responsibilities

• Support invoice processing, payment allocation, and customer account updates.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with payment follow-ups.
• Review financial documents and verify customer account information.
• Assist with account reconciliations and basic billing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate financial records and update information in internal systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve payment and account-related queries.
• Meet KPIs related to accuracy, productivity, processing times and quality.
• Participate in training to develop knowledge of finance systems and O2C processes.

Role Overview:

As a Junior Accounts Receivable / O2C Specialist, you will support daily finance activities, including invoice processing, payment allocation, account updates, and financial record maintenance. You will work closely with experienced colleagues to ensure transactions are processed accurately and customer accounts are managed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support invoice processing, payment allocation, and customer account updates.


• Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with payment follow-ups.


• Review financial documents and verify customer account information.


• Assist with account reconciliations and investigate basic billing discrepancies.


• Maintain accurate financial records and update information in internal systems.


• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve payment and account-related queries.


• Follow established financial procedures, internal controls, and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Language Skills: Fluent in German (C1/C2 level) and English (C1 level)
