Job summary

Capgemini Portugal is seeking a Front End/Full Stack Java Developer to join our Lisbon or Porto teams. You will refactor Angular UI, develop new responsive components, and ensure code quality through tests and reviews.

You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborate with peers, and grow through our Career Acceleration Programs and companion benefits. Strong Java backend with Spring Boot, SQL, Linux, Bash, and Git skills are essential; fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience.
• Strong frontend skills with JavaScript and Angular.
• Solid backend experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Good understanding of SQL, preferably T-SQL.
• Comfortable with Linux, Bash, and Git workflows.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Refactor and modernize existing Angular/HTML UI code.
• Develop new, responsive UI components and pages.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests for the frontend.
• Participate in code reviews, releases, and team meetings.
• Ensure code quality, address vulnerabilities, and suggest improvements.
• Debug and investigate issues in the codebase.

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a Full stack Java Developer to join our team in Lisbon or Porto.

• Refactor and modernize existing Angular/HTML UI code
• Develop new, responsive UI components and pages
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests for the front‑end
• Actively participate in codereview, releases, and team meetings
• Be responsible for code quality and clearence, look for vulnerabilities and suggest improvements
• Be ready to debug the code to investigate the issues
• Become familiar with business processes and understand the flow

YOUR PROFILE

• 2+ years of hands‑on full‑stack development experience
• Strong skills in JavaScript + Angular on the frontend
• Solid backend experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Good understanding of SQL, ideally T‑SQL
• Comfortable working with Linux, shell scripting (Bash), and Git workflows
• English fluent
