Connect Digital is seeking a Full Stack Developer with strong React.js and Node.js experience to design, develop, and maintain modern web applications in an Agile environment. The role is based in Portugal with on-site/hybrid options in Lisbon, Braga or Coimbra and requires 3+ years of software development experience.

The candidate will work across frontend and backend technologies, ensure code quality, performance, security, and CI/CD practices, and may use GenAI tools to boost productivity

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js.
• Experience with Node.js, including Express.js or NestJS.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• English level C1 is mandatory.
• Candidates must be living in Portugal.

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong experience in React.js and Node.js to design, develop, and maintain modern web applications in an Agile environment. This role is suited to someone with solid software development experience, strong code quality standards, and the ability to work across frontend and backend technologies while ensuring performance, maintainability, and security.

Candidates must be based in Portugal, with the role available in Lisbon, Braga or Coimbra under an on-site/hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React.js and Node.js.
• Build scalable frontend and backend solutions in an Agile delivery environment.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs.
• Work with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to CI/CD practices.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to support code generation, testing, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and productivity improvement.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, maintainability, and security.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of software development experience.

GenAI Experience

Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as:

• Cursor AI.
• Similar GenAI coding assistants.

Candidates should be able to use GenAI tools for code generation, testing, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and productivity improvement while maintaining high code quality standards.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS or Azure.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices.

• Gross annual salary: €25,000–€30,000, depending on experience and suitability for the role.
