HumanIT Digital Consulting is seeking a Fullstack Developer (Node.js/Next.js/React) to join the AI products team in Lisbon on a hybrid basis (2 days in the office). You will contribute primarily to back-end development for a Secure GPT service across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, while engaging in front-end tasks occasionally.

The role focuses on secure, scalable capabilities used across a large international organization.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in web application development, preferably in Azure environments.
• Strong backend focus with minimal frontend work.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript: Node.js, Next.js/React.
• Experience across unit and E2E testing, owning full testing cycle.
• API design, implementation, and operation.
• Hands-on Azure experience: App Services, Cosmos DB, Application Insights, Monitoring.
• DevOps practices with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• IaC fundamentals and automation scripting.
• Prompt engineering for drafting and improving prompts.
• Experience with AI APIs/frameworks (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Azure AI) including RAG.
• Ability to own features end-to-end from study to monitoring.
• Autonomous, proactive, cross-functional collaboration in international teams.
• Clear English communication (B2 Upper Intermediate or above).
• Solution-oriented problem-solver.

Responsabilidades

Fullstack Developer (Node.js/Next.js/React) - Hybrid Lisbon (2 days/week office)

Join the AI products team of a global insurance and financial services group, contributing to a Multi-cloud GenAI platform spanning Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, with a primary focus on its Secure GPT service. This is a chance to work at the intersection of full-stack engineering and applied AI, building secure, scalable capabilities used across a large international organization.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You will provide application development services in support of the Secure GPT service, working primarily on back-end development (around 90%) with limited front-end contributions (around 10%). Your work covers designing, developing, and enhancing features such as document understanding, translation, agentic capabilities, web usage, APIs, and automation, executing end-to-end development activities from study and analysis through technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, and monitoring. You'll define and track KPIs to support data-informed decisions, collaborate within an international team with regular alignment with the Tech Lead and Product Owner, and implement solutions compliant with security, regulatory, and internal standards, while identifying opportunities for process and automation improvements.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in web application development, ideally within Azure environments
• Strong expertise in web application development, focused on back-end technologies with limited front-end activity
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript: Node.js (back-end), Next.js/React (front-end)
• Expertise across the full testing lifecycle, including unit and end-to-end (E2E) tests, owning the full testing cycle
• Expertise in API design, implementation, and operation
• Hands-on expertise with Azure, including App Services, Cosmos DB, Application Insights, and Monitoring
• Expertise with DevOps practices and tools, including Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) fundamentals and automation scripting
• Expertise in prompt engineering — drafting, testing, and iteratively improving prompts
• Expertise with AI APIs and/or frameworks (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Azure AI), including RAG and agentic/agent-based capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to own features end-to-end: study, plan, implement, document, test, and monitor
• Autonomous, proactive working style, able to take topics from A to Z without hand-holding
• Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively in cross-functional, international teams
• Adaptable, comfortable with shifting priorities and evolving context
• Clear communicator in English (B2 Upper Intermediate or above), written and verbal
• Proactive, solution-oriented problem-solver

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

• Terraform and/or Bicep for infrastructure deployment
• Observability and monitoring tools

• Availability for occasional travel to France, Spain, or Portugal, depending on service needs

Compensation: €1,500 – €1,900/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
