ROLE DESCRIPTION - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect efficient, scalable, and reusable fullstack systems that drive complex, large-scale web applications.
• Design and develop robust microservices using Java and Spring Boot, integrating high-performance communication via gRPC and event-driven patterns with Kafka.
• Build responsive, state-managed front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and Zustand, translating Figma designs into pixel-perfect components with MUI Materials.
• Implement production-ready GenAI features, mastering prompt engineering, context optimization, and hallucination reduction to ensure deterministic responses.
• Maximize delivery speed and code quality through the intensive use of AI-assisted coding tools (such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or equivalents) while maintaining strict security standards.
• Ensure applications are production-ready and highly available using Kubernetes.
• Follow best practices using clean code, TDD, and industry standards guidelines.
• Help the team evolve, sharing knowledge and experimenting with new ideas and emerging technologies.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering (with a strong focus on both Java and React).
• Deep knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kubernetes.
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, Zustand, and component libraries like MUI Materials.
• Solid experience with Apache Kafka and gRPC communication protocol.
• Practical experience in Prompt Engineering, context optimization, hallucination reduction, and achieving deterministic LLM responses in production environments.
• Proficiency and enthusiasm in the intensive use of AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude) to accelerate development safely.
• Prior experience with Git source control system (GitHub or GitLab) and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Must be based in Portugal.
• Proficiency in English.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with testing frameworks across the stack (e.g., JUnit, Mockito, Jest, or React Testing Library).
• Familiarity with Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Chroma, Milvus) or RAG architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated security scanning for AI-assisted code.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
