Job summary

Whitesmith, an AI-first technical partner, seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to solve hard problems with users, client engineers and our Engagement Lead. You own the next responsible step and the system you build, collaborating across client teams to deliver tangible value.

You will write production code, integrate with real systems, define evaluations and guardrails, and help clients adopt what you build while navigating constraints of security, data and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Build the smallest useful version that runs the whole workflow and progressively harden it.
• Perform technical discovery with users to turn constraints into a plan and acceptance criteria.
• Define what good looks like for AI outputs, and build evaluations, tests, observability, fallbacks and controls.
