Job summary

EDP, a global energy company, invites applications for a Finance & Accounting Specialist to support IFRS/US GAAP accounting, projects accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany processes. The role blends traditional R2R duties with transformation tasks to automate and streamline reporting across SAP and Power Platform tools.

You will liaise with consolidation and audit teams, contribute to data-driven dashboards, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining strong English

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, R2R-Record to Report (public accounting experience and or CPA/Chartered Accountant Certification preferred).
• Knowledge of IFRS required (US GAAP knowledge highly valued).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Power Query) will be a plus.
• Experience using SAP financial modules (SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience with technologies such as Power Platform, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, VBA, Python or similar solutions is considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of Winshuttle will be a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Critical thinking and ability to propose solutions and process improvements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Solid level of spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Record and analyze corporate financial transactions in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Record and reconcile accruals and deferrals.
• Assist with projects accounting and fixed assets depreciation.
• Support procurement master data and supplier registrations.
• Prepare reconciliations and reports; follow up on open items.
• Collaborate with consolidation team and assist audits.
• Participate in accounting or system-related projects as required.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Work in a hybrid model with flexible hours.
