Job summary

Siemens Energy in Portugal seeks a seasoned accounting leader to head a team of experts, ensuring timely, IFRS and local GAAP-compliant month-end close while driving process improvements. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders and guide the team through complex operational issues, sharing best practices across functions.

Role includes leading SAP-FI, S/4 Hana workflows, Blackline reconciliations, and driving finance transformation initiatives to standardize and automate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Fixed Assets and General Ledger.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Team Leadership.
• +5 years in SAP-FI.
• Open and fluent communication in Portuguese and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of accounting experts, managing issues, analyzing errors, and driving process improvements for timely month-end close.
• Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and share best practices across teams.
• Oversee month-end activities in SAP-S/4 Hana and Blackline, manage Fixed Assets tasks, perform account reconciliations, and maintain a clean General Ledger.
