Job summary

TEKEVER is seeking a Forward-Deployed AI Engineer to join our Caldas da Rainha team. You will be embedded with aircraft engineers and operators, turning flight logs, telemetry and mission data into practical data and AI solutions. You’ll prototype rapidly using AI assistants and ship usable tools within days.

You will work across data analytics, ML, data engineering and internal tooling, delivering end‑to‑end solutions that support flight tests and ground operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience delivering data, analytics or ML solutions end to end with end‑user exposure.
• Strong skills in exploratory data analysis, statistics and visualization, especially on time‑series, logs or sensor data.
• Strong SQL and Python data stack (pandas/Polars, NumPy, Jupyter).
• Hands‑on experience training and iterating ML models (scikit‑learn, PyTorch) with proper metrics and validation.
• Fluent Portuguese and English.

Responsibilities

• Data Analytics & Data Science: Analyse flight logs, telemetry and mission data to answer engineering questions.
• Machine Learning: Identify where ML adds value, build/evaluate/iterate models with data science teams.
• Data Engineering: Ingest logs and video, ensure consistent mission identifiers and dataset reliability.
• Internal Tooling: Build dashboards, scripts and small web apps to reduce manual work.
• Rapid Prototyping: Use AI-assisted workflows to go from problem to working prototype in days.
