Job summary

TEKEVER in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, is seeking a Forward-Deployed AI Engineer to join our Data & AI team working directly with flight engineers and operators. You will analyze flight logs, telemetry and mission data to extract actionable insights and build prototypes with AI-assisted tools.

You will prototype rapidly using Claude and related AI tooling, develop data pipelines, dashboards and integrations with our ground control software, and mentor end users on how to leverage AI in

Qualifications

• Big data and ML end-to-end experience, delivering solutions used by engineers or customers.
• Strong analytics and visualization skills, especially time-series data.
• Experience with flight data, telemetry or robotics is a plus.
• Proven ability to prototype quickly and ship usable tools.

Responsibilities

• Data Analytics & Data Science: analyse flight logs, telemetry and mission data to answer engineering questions.
• Machine Learning: build, evaluate and iterate models from baselines to production candidates.
• Data Engineering: ingest logs and video, maintain datasets and identifiers.
• Internal Tooling: create scripts, CLIs, dashboards and web apps.
• Rapid Prototyping: use AI-assisted workflows to deliver working prototypes in days.
• Systems Integration: understand mission and ground control software and data flows.
• Bridge to Data & AI: coordinate with Data & AI teams and translate needs.
• Field & Test Support: assist tests and ensure tools work in real-world conditions.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: document analyses and data flows.
• Agile Delivery: operate within Jira/Confluence and prioritise with Product Owner.
