Talan is seeking a Senior Technical Lead to join the KYC Due Diligence squad, driving CLM transformation and hands-on Java development. You will shape architecture, enable AI-enabled changes, and steer delivery strategies with compliance and risk teams across international projects.

Ideal candidates have strong KYC/CLM knowledge, experience with Fenergo/Fen‑X, and a proven track record of leading technical teams in enterprise settings. This is a 100% remote setup with global client exposure.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within the KYC Due Diligence squad.
• Lead the delivery and evolution of Fenergo/Fen‑X and CLM capabilities.
• Contribute hands-on to design and development of Java-based solutions.
• Translate KYC, onboarding, screening, and risk-assessment requirements into scalable tech solutions.
• Define standards, priorities, and delivery approaches for the squad.
• Review designs and code for security, maintainability, and performance.
• Guide senior and mid-level developers and promote knowledge sharing.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Technical Lead to join a KYC Due Diligence squad working on a strategic Client Lifecycle Management transformation.

You will combine hands‑on Java development with technical leadership and strong knowledge of Fenergo/Fen‑X, KYC, onboarding, screening, and risk assessment. The role will contribute to the evolution of the CLM platform, including AI-enabled transformation, architectural simplification, and the definition of effective delivery and workforce strategies.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership within the KYC Due Diligence squad.
• Lead the delivery and evolution of Fenergo/Fen‑X and Client Lifecycle Management capabilities.
• Contribute hands‑on to the design and development of Java‑based solutions.
• Translate KYC, onboarding, screening, and risk‑assessment requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Define technical standards, priorities, and delivery approaches for the squad.
• Review solution designs and code to ensure security, maintainability, performance, and quality.
• Guide senior and mid‑level developers and support knowledge sharing across the team.
• Work with business, compliance, risk, product, and architecture stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to simplify the existing architecture and reduce unnecessary complexity.
• Support AI‑enabled transformation initiatives within the KYC and CLM ecosystem.
• Contribute to workforce and capability planning for the platform.
• Manage technical risks, dependencies, and trade‑offs in a complex financial‑services environment.

Qualifications

Required:

• 6–10 years of relevant professional experience, with proven technical leadership responsibilities.
• Demonstrable delivery experience with Fenergo/Fen‑X in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Client Lifecycle Management processes and technology.
• Solid functional and technical understanding of KYC and Due Diligence.
• Experience with customer onboarding, screening, and risk‑assessment processes.
• Ability to make and explain technical decisions in complex or critical environments.
• Experience guiding developers, leading technical discussions, or coordinating delivery within a squad.
• Advanced English, C1 level

Nice to have:

• Experience simplifying complex or legacy architectures.
• Exposure to AI‑enabled transformation within KYC, CLM, compliance, or financial crime.
• Experience defining workforce, skills, or delivery‑capacity strategies.
• Experience working with global banking or financial‑services organisations.
• Knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, workflow platforms, and event‑driven architecture.
• Experience working with compliance, risk, operations, and product stakeholders.
