Job summary

Airbus Portugal SA is seeking a professional to join the Ethics & Compliance team as an export control specialist. You will ensure compliance with export licences, end-use and reporting obligations, and you will guide stakeholders on export control matters.

You will liaise with cross-functional teams and monitor export control processes, including licensing and classification, to uphold regulatory directives.

Qualifications

• Master degree in law or international trade (or equivalent).
• 2+ years advising on export control and/or sanctions.
• High degree of integrity, discretion and trust.
• Leadership and project management skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Excellent writing skills for reports and memoranda.
• Strong relationship building, networking, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently but also as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with digital tools.
• Languages: English; knowledge of French, German or Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with export licences, end-use and regulatory reporting obligations and Apply Airbus Export Control Directives.
• Provide know-how and guidance on export control compliance to stakeholders.
• Liaise between business functions and export control teams when necessary.
• Monitor, assess, decide, control and document export control processes (classification, licensing, use of licence exceptions).
• Support the export control function and reinforce key messages related to the Export Control Compliance Programme.
• Continuously improve internal processes and deploy automation tools in accordance with regulatory requirements and directives.
