Executive Chef - Faro, Portugal (Contract)

Responsibilities

• Develop and create innovative menus that meet the needs of our diverse clientele
• Oversee all kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and high-quality standards
• Train and manage kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to proper food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
• Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events or themed menus
• Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or taste
• Adhere to budgetary constraints while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
• In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and techniques
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work under pressure and handle unexpected challenges with ease
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (Portuguese is a plus)
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if needed

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field (preferred but not required)

• Equivalent combination of education and experience

$1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)
