Job summary

Sonae Sierra in Lisbon is seeking a Sustainability Services Specialist to join the Sustainability Office. You will support ESG strategies, benchmarking and client projects, coordinating cross‑functional inputs to deliver value for real estate portfolios.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences, at least five years of sustainability experience, English fluency and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability, ideally as a consultant or program manager.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is desirable.
• Knowledge of ESG and building certification schemes (e.g., BREEAM/LEED) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing and evolving sustainability/ESG strategies for clients, including materiality assessment.
• Assist in development, benchmarking and implementation of objectives, targets and improvement programs for clients.
• Assist in climate change risk assessments and zero‑carbon roadmaps for clients.
• Lead regular follow‑up meetings with clients and prepare presentations to increase sustainability awareness.
• Monitor trends to ensure best practice in Europe and contribute to business development.
