Decskill in Lisbon is seeking a Documentation Drafting and Matching Analyst to join our growing team. You will draft confirmations, review risk bookings, and liaise with clients to ensure accurate post-trade documentation.

This entry-level role offers exposure to ISDA documentation, straight-through processing improvements, and collaboration with Trading, Legal, Compliance, IT and other international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• No previous professional experience required; entry-level opportunity in banking and financial operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Draft legal confirmations based on ISDA definitions for financial products, including swaps, forwards, options, and hybrid strategies.
• Review trade risk bookings and term sheets to ensure consistency before sending documentation to clients.
• Monitor workflows, prioritise confirmations, and ensure their timely dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory deadlines.
• Notify clients of post-trade events, including exercises, restructurings, and partial or full terminations.
• Act as the internal point of escalation for documentation and template-related queries.
• Liaise daily with clients to resolve discrepancies and assist in redrafting confirmations to meet their requirements.
• Resolve discrepancies in incoming confirmations and manage client requests relating to litigations or affirmations.
• Ensure the proper functioning of electronic matching platforms.
• Maintain effective working relationships with Trading, Sales, Legal, Compliance, IT, and other Operations teams across international locations.
• Contribute to process improvements, particularly in straight-through processing (STP), risk management, and controls.
• Support new product initiatives and the development of new business across different regions.
