Job summary

Axians in Lisbon is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join the Securities Settlement team. You will support settlement activities, perform reconciliations, and coordinate with custodians and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely post-trade processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Fluent English (C1) level required.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
• Understanding of reconciliation processes and financial market operations is valued.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure settlement of securities transactions and related products.
• Perform cash and position reconciliations across internal systems and local custodians.
• Follow up on client instructions in international markets until final settlement.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and settlement discrepancies.
• Manage stock forecasting including cross-border operations and fail coverage borrow processes.
• Maintain and update reference data in coordination with relevant teams.
• Respond to operational queries and stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure procedures, checklists, and operational documentation remain up to date.
• Contribute to reduction of settlement costs and operational risks.
• Escalate issues and support the overall success of the settlement function.
