Shakers is seeking an ERP Analyst Programmer to join a European food retail ERP team, focusing on Finance and Commercial applications built on Informix 4GL and Oracle PL/SQL.

The role bridges business and technical domains, gathering requirements, writing specifications, and delivering end-to-end solutions in a hybrid setup based in Paço de Arcos, Portugal, with 3 days on-site per week.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or similar.
• 6 years of professional experience in similar ERP-focused roles.
• Solid experience with Finance and Commercial applications in food retail.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge (Informix or Oracle).

Responsabilidades

• Gather requirements and write user stories with business directions.
• Prepare functional specifications and document information flows.
• Design and document the technical solution.
• Develop in Informix 4GL or Oracle PL/SQL and document code.
• Prepare, document and execute unit, integration, functional and acceptance tests.
• Conduct walkthroughs and training with Key Users; create user manuals.
• Provide second line support: incident diagnosis and root cause analysis.

ERP Analyst Programmer (Informix 4GL / Oracle PL/SQL)

We're looking for an ERP Analyst Programmer for a leading European food retail group, working on custom-built Finance and Commercial applications. Hybrid role based in Paço de Arcos (Portugal), 3 days per week on site.

The challenge

The client runs its core Finance and Commercial processes on custom made applications built on Informix and Oracle. They need someone who can sit between the business directions and the code: gather requirements, write the functional and technical specs, build the solution, and then stand behind it in second line support. Not a pure developer role and not a pure functional role. Both.

Responsibilities

• Requirements gathering and user story writing with the business directions
• Functional specifications and documentation of information flows
• Design and documentation of the technical solution
• Development in Informix 4GL or Oracle PL/SQL, plus technical documentation
• Preparation, documentation and execution of unit, integration, functional and acceptance tests
• Walk-throughs and training sessions with Key Users, including user manuals
• Second line support: incident diagnosis, resolution, root cause analysis, escalation to vendors or other teams
• Preventive and corrective maintenance, performance optimization of existing applications
• Data analysis, data correction and mass data processing on application databases

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or similar
• 6 years of professional experience in similar roles
• Solid functional experience with custom made Finance and Commercial applications in food retail
• Solid experience implementing, maintaining and supporting ERPs (Finance, Commercial, Master Data and/or Supply Chain, Logistics, Production)
• Solid experience in process redesign and continuous improvement in those areas
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge (Informix or Oracle)
• Informix 4GL or Oracle PL/SQL
• Systems architecture knowledge
• Incident handling, root cause identification and correction plans
• Fluent English and Portuguese
• Availability to work on site in Paço de Arcos 3 days per week

• Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Experience with project management tools
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, proactive attitude
