Bloq.it seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team of backend, frontend and firmware engineers in Porto, Portugal. You will set objectives, mentor engineers and drive delivery of scalable smart locker solutions with high-quality code and strong testing culture.

You will collaborate with Product Managers and other leaders to shape engineering strategy while fostering growth, continuous learning, and a results-driven environment in a fast-growing scale-up.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as engineering manager in a tech-driven environment.
• Hands-on software engineering background.
• Experience building and hiring teams.
• Strong leadership and communication skills in English.
• Expertise with SOLID, TDD, design patterns and refactoring.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage a multi-skilled team of backend, frontend, and firmware engineers
• Set clear team and individual objectives, and provide ongoing performance feedback and development
• Build and empower a team to deliver practical solutions to complex technical problems
• Collaborate with Engineering leads to improve the organization
• Provide technical guidance and ensure adherence to best practices and standards
• Ensure code aligns with industry standards and test coverage
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align engineering with business goals
• Focus on growth and conduct performance and compensation reviews
