Bloq.it is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to define the electrification of our products and integrate advanced battery technology. You will design electrical systems, battery packs, chargers, harnesses, and lighting for energy efficiency.

Based near Coimbra or Lisbon, you will collaborate across disciplines and document designs, tests, and compliance with standards. A degree in Electrical Engineering and hands-on PCB/ECAD experience are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in electrical system design, battery systems, and harnesses.
• Experience with PCB design and electrical CAD tools.

Responsabilidades

• Design electrical systems and battery components, including packs and charging solutions.
• Create wiring diagrams, harness layouts, and component specs.
• Ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with standards across environments.

We are in search of a Electrical Design Engineer to join our innovative team as our new #bloqstar. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in defining the electrification of our products and integrating advanced battery technology.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and develop electrical systems and components, including battery systems, chargers, solar and power supplies;
• Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness layouts;
• Design and optimize battery systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability;
• Evaluate and select appropriate battery cell technologies
• Develop and implement charging solutions for various applications;
• Define the electrical harnesses, connector systems and other components such as Circuit Breakers, Contactors and UPS;
• Ensure compatibility and reliability of harnesses and connectors in different environmental conditions;
• Design and optimize lighting systems for energy efficiency and performance;
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations;
• Conduct electrical testing and validation of components and systems;
• Create detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.

What You’ll Bring To The Table

• Live near Coimbra or Lisbon, being available to commute up to 2 times per week.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;
• Proven experience in electrical system design, particularly in battery systems, chargers, harnesses, and connectors;
• Experience in PCB Design using Altium, KiCad or equivalent;
• Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (EPLAN) and mechanical assemblies;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct complex analyses;
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines;

It Would Be Great If You Would Also Have

• Experience with solar integration and related technologies;
• Experience designing and implementing BMS and board-level power supplies (buck, boost, and flyback).
