Closer Consulting, a data science company based in Lisbon, is seeking a Data Engineer to join our hybrid team. You will work on data manipulation, processing and analysis with Python, SQL, and cloud-based data pipelines.

You will contribute to data-driven applications, collaborate in a small team, and participate in production deployment and monitoring. Experience with AWS, Spark, Git, and Jupyter is valued. The role offers monthly office visits in Lisbon and a path for professional growth.

Qualificações

• Strong experience with Python, particularly for data manipulation, processing and analysis.
• Solid experience with SQL and working with data at scale.
• Good programming, debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience developing data-driven applications and algorithms.
• Experience working with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Athena, Glue, EC2 or similar.
• Experience with Spark / PySpark is valued.
• Familiarity with Git, Jupyter Notebooks and modern development practices.
• Experience taking solutions from proof of concept through testing, deployment and production.
• Strong analytical mindset, interest in Data Science, autonomy and proactive attitude, with the ability to work effectively in a small, dynamic team.
