EDP is seeking a Market Modeling Specialist to join our Forecast & Modeling team in Lisbon. You will generate short-term forecasts for electricity load and surplus generation, across geographies, and monitor deviations to improve performance.

You will develop models, incorporate exogenous variables, and ensure data is ready for regulatory reporting, while collaborating across departments to standardize processes and drive automation.

Qualificações

• 3-8 years of experience in a similar field or analyst function.
• Advanced knowledge of time series forecasting.
• Advanced knowledge of Python applied experience in time series forecasting.
• Proficiency in SQL and Power BI (DAX).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with energy markets/sector.
• Strong attention to detail and process orientation.
• Analytical mindset with proven problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for top management.

Responsabilidades

• Generate and validate short-term (day-ahead/intraday) forecasts for electricity load and surplus generation across all relevant geographies.
• Monitor forecast deviations, analyze root causes, and propose cost-benefit improvement measures.
• Maintain and develop forecasting models to reduce forecast deviations, including recalibration and integration of exogenous variables.
• Extract, process, and provide relevant information from data systems/sources to support business monitoring and prepare datasets for regulatory reporting.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, including automation, standardization, and control enhancements.
• Actively collaborate with other areas of the organization in the development of shared processes/procedures/methodologies.
