Critical Software seeks a forward-thinking Cluster Technology Director to define and lead the technical vision for the Energy & Critical Infrastructure cluster in Portugal. You will own architecture principles, reference roadmaps, and act as the technical authority for safety-critical energy software across metering, head end systems, substations, grid and renewables.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of software engineering and technical leadership experience in energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure.
• Strong grasp of the energy ecosystem including utilities, TSOs/DSOs, OEMs and technology partners.
• Expertise in architectures for smart metering, grid, head end systems, substations and embedded platforms.
• Solid command of cybersecurity, interoperability and secure design for regulated environments.
• Experience with AI/ML in operational energy, including value, risk, validation and security.

Responsabilidades

• Define and lead the technology vision, principles, and reference roadmaps for the cluster.
• Act as the technical authority for regulated, safety-critical energy software across metering, head end systems, substations, grid and renewables.
• Grow the cluster on scalable architectures and reusable assets across customers.
• Set cybersecurity and secure design standards for critical infrastructure and compliance with standards.
• Be escalation point for architectural, safety and regulatory decisions and resolve quickly.
• Bring AI into energy delivery where it solves real problems, balancing innovation with security and regulation.
• Collaborate with the CTO to build capabilities and strengthen Critical's edge as a trusted energy engineering partner.
• Mentor senior engineers and architects and represent Critical in industry forums.
