Job summary

Axians Portugal is seeking a Junior Settlements Officer to join the Securities Settlement Department. You will support pre- and post-settlement activities, perform reconciliations, and ensure accurate data and timely settlements.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and strong communication. You will interact with internal teams and custodians, handle queries, and contribute to compliance and risk mitigation while pursuing development opportunities within a multinational IT group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, accounting, management, or related field.
• Up to 2 years of banking and financial operations experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of financial operations and securities settlement activities.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure the settlement of securities transactions and associated products.
• Perform cash and position reconciliations between internal systems and local custodians.
• Ensure referential and operational data remains accurate and up to date in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Respond to operational queries and emails in a timely and professional manner.
• Contribute to the smooth execution of settlement processes while maintaining data accuracy and compliance standards.
