Job summary

Bosch Group in Aveiro is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the application software development team for air-to-water heat pumps. You will design, implement, and test C and C++ software for residential heating systems, collaborating with cross‑functional international teams.

The role involves MBD with MATLAB/Simulink, CI/CD, and integrating software with hardware and controllers, while delivering reliable, production‑quality code and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Typically five or more years of professional software development experience.
• Hands‑on experience in production‑quality C/C++ software, testing, debugging and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain application software in C and C++ for heat pumps and related heating systems.
• Implement control strategies and ensure reliable interaction between software, hardware, and thermal processes.
• Contribute to software architecture, code reviews, documentation, and iterative testing.
