Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Director Core Functions IT to lead value delivery across 18 IT products spanning HR, Legal, Compliance, GBS and Global Corporate Affairs. You will own health, maturity, benefits tracking and the run-cost bridge, partnering with line leads and senior stakeholders to maximise value.

The role focuses on evidence-based investment, portfolio management and running a high-performing team of four.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology; Masters degree desirable.
Significant client-facing IT or product experience including strategic planning, business plan and case development, and client management.
Significant experience in value realisation and benefits tracking—financial models, budgeting, risk management.
Significant experience in product-centric operating models including portfolio and demand management and product health measurement.
Experience with diverse business ecosystems, SaaS, Cloud, and business apps; familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, BlackLine, Anaplan, Snowflake, Coupa, Concur, AWS Bedrock and AI models.
Experience with regulatory controls, SOX attestation and audit-ready evidence.
Experience leading large-scale change initiatives; managing teams and external partners.
Experience managing outcome-based managed-service contracts with SLAs, OLAs and gain-share mechanisms.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional senior stakeholders across geographies.
Substantial experience in global matrix organisations and risk management.
Certification in product/portfolio management or business analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

Define and run value-measurement discipline across 18 products and track benefits against run-cost bridge.
Maintain a single health and maturity view for all products including adoption, quality and user experience.
Own portfolio and demand pipeline; advise on investments, sustainability, consolidation or retirement.
Own the AI agents and partner pods scorecard covering SLAs, ELAs, accuracy and cost.
Raise product-management craft through standards, playbooks and coaching.
Lead a four-person team and develop talent with succession planning.
Influence executives and partners on value and portfolio decisions; manage supplier governance.
Ensure auditable governance, risk and compliance reporting with AI guardrails.
Lead change management and adoption for AI digital workers; drive evidence-based decisions.
Manage budget, monitor run-rate savings and flag when below target 85% of plan.
