Job summary

AstraZeneca plc is seeking a Director Core Functions IT to prove and grow value across 18 IT products spanning HR, Legal, Compliance, GBS and Global Corporate Affairs. You will lead a four-person team and partner with senior leaders to maximise value and drive an evidence-based portfolio strategy.

You will shape the value-measurement discipline, ensure product health, manage demand, and own the AI agent scorecard, governance, and change initiatives while aligning with procurement and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, CS or IT; Masters desirable.
• Experience in client-facing IT or product roles with strategic planning & client management.
• Experience in value realisation and benefits tracking including budgeting & risk management.
• Experience in product-centric operating models and portfolio/demand management.
• Experience with cloud/SaaS ecosystems and AI foundation models; measuring AI agent performance.
• Experience with regulatory controls (SOX) and audit-ready evidence.
• Led large-scale change initiatives and managed global teams.
• Experience with outcome-based contracts, SLAs/OLAs and supplier governance.

Responsibilities

• Define and run value-measurement across 18 products with run-cost comparisons.
• Maintain a consistent health and maturity view across all products.
• Own portfolio and demand management; advise on investments, consolidations or retirements.
• Own AI agent and partner pod scorecard including SLAs/XLAs and cost.
• Raise product-management craft through standards, playbooks and coaching.
• Lead a 4-person team and drive talent development and succession planning.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, partners and Procurement to maximise value.
