Bedrock Streaming in Lisbon is seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to bridge the gap between developers and Ops, implementing best practices and cloud-scale solutions. You will migrate, deploy, and scale projects to the cloud, shaping the evolution of our streaming platform with a focus on high performance, resilience, and maintainability.

The role requires autonomy (initially solo in Portugal), strong AWS and Kubernetes experience (Helm, GitOps), and proficiency in GitHub Actions and Terraform.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
• Autonomy and seniority; able to work alone in Portugal initially.
• Experience with AWS managed services.
• CI/CD expertise with GitHub Actions; IaC with Terraform.
• Security by default, IAM and least privilege.
• Understanding of software architecture patterns (CQRS, DDD, Microservices).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tooling to optimize workflows and code quality.
• Experience with automated testing and deployment pipelines in high-scale environments.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes: Helm, GitOps, resource tuning, autoscaling, networking, end-to-end debugging.

We have 350 employees in Paris and Lyon. As part of our international development, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer for our new office in Lisbon.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

At Bedrock, we're looking for a DevOps Engineer to bridge the gap between our developer and Ops teams. In this role, you will implement and share best practices and tools across teams, supporting them in migrating, deploying, and scaling projects to the Cloud. You will participate in the design and evolution of our streaming platform, ensuring high-performance, stable, resilient, and maintainable technical solutions.

As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be:

• Supporting and training teams in tools and modern working methodologies (Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure as Code, 12-Factor App methodology, etc.).
• Raising awareness among development teams regarding their infrastructure's resilience, scalability, security, and cost optimization.
• Maintaining and contributing to the continuous improvement of existing services, deployment pipelines, and processes.
• Designing and developing solutions that meet the functional and technical requirements of Customer, Product, and/or Technical projects.
• Participating in significant technical choices, while being a driving force behind innovative proposals to improve platform and project performance.
• Keeping a technology watch to proactively identify new tools and approaches to solve day-to-day challenges.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 5 years of professional experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
• Autonomy and seniority first. This person will be alone in Portugal at the beginning, so we need someone we can count on without close supervision, and who can help us grow infrastructure knowledge locally.
• AWS expertise, in particular on managed services.
• CI/CD expertise with GitHub Actions, and IaC expertise with Terraform.
• Security by default, IAM and least privilege.
• Solid understanding of software development practices and architectural patterns (e.g., CQRS, DDD, Microservices).
• At Bedrock, we embrace the future of tech. We are looking for AI-aware professionals who are enthusiastic about leveraging AI-assisted tools to optimize workflows, automate tasks, and write better code. (If you are averse to AI, we might not be the right fit!).
• Experience with automated testing and deployment pipelines in an industrialized, high-scale context.
• Working hands on with Kubernetes, which is the backbone of our platform : packaging and deploying workloads with Helm and GitOps, tuning resources, autoscaling and networking, and being able to debug a workload end to end when it misbehaves.
