act digital in Porto is looking for a Java / Spring Developer to help build scalable backend systems and modern microservices-based applications. You will contribute to reliable, secure, and maintainable solutions in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with engineering teams.

In this role, you will develop and maintain RESTful APIs, participate in architecture discussions, and ensure code quality through reviews and testing.

Qualificações

• Proficient in Java with modern versions and Spring-based frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend integration patterns.
• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and unit/integration testing.

We are looking for a Java / Spring Developer to join a team responsible for building and evolving scalable, high-performance backend systems. You will contribute to the development of modern microservices-based applications, working closely with engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable solutions in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring technologies.
• Design, build, and support RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Implement clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Integrate applications with databases, messaging platforms, and external services.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Perform code reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production and performance-related issues.

Requirements

• Strong experience with recent Java versions.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and backend integration patterns.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with Docker/Git.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito or similar tools.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• Experience with event-driven architectures.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK.
