We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join a team specialising in database administration across Oracle and MySQL environments.
This is a hybrid role in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, requiring at least two days per week on-site. You will work across database administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, optimisation, security, and operational support, while also contributing to projects, documentation, and the implementation of database best practices.
The role is particularly suited to professionals with strong Oracle expertise, including Oracle RAC and Data Guard, with experience in Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialised technical support for Oracle, MySQL, and Exadata database environments.
- Respond to database-related incidents, technical issues, and operational queries.
- Administer, monitor, and optimise database environments to support performance, stability, and availability.
- Support projects involving database technologies and infrastructure.
- Investigate and resolve day-to-day database issues within the team’s operational scope.
- Collaborate with teams responsible for applications and services that depend on database environments.
- Contribute to the implementation of database best practices and continuous process improvements.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation when required.
- Apply established security standards and operational best practices across database administration services.
- Support ongoing operational activities and project-related work.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders involved in database operations and delivery.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of professional experience in Database Administration or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database.
- Experience administering MySQL environments.
- Knowledge of Oracle RAC.
- Experience with Oracle Data Guard.
- Strong understanding of database administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
- Experience supporting production or business-critical database environments.
- Understanding of database security and operational best practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with application, infrastructure, and other technical teams.
- Availability and ability to perform ongoing operational support activities.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Exadata.
- Experience managing databases in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
Qualifications
Relevant technical qualifications are valued. A postgraduate degree in a related field is considered an advantage.

Salary & Benefits
- Gross annual salary: €25,000–€30,000* depending on experience and suitability for the role.
