act digital is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join a dynamic international environment in Lisbon. The role focuses on ensuring stability, performance, and security of Oracle databases within a hybrid work model (2 days onsite).

You will collaborate with DevOps, development, infrastructure and security teams to design, implement and maintain database solutions, perform backups, tuning, high availability, and on-call support when required.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA).
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database Administration and performance tuning.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and high availability environments.
• Familiarity with incident/change management and DevOps practices.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and optimize database performance.

• Participate in architecture design and implement new database solutions.

• Research and evaluate emerging database technologies including Cloud and Big Data.
• Define and propose architecture solutions aligned with infra and security requirements.
• On-call support rotation when required.
• Document security, monitoring, backup and recovery solutions.

We are looking for an Oracle DBA to join a dynamic and challenging international environment, supporting critical business applications and database infrastructures.

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Work Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite)

Responsibilities

• Ensure the operational stability and availability of Oracle databases.
• Manage incidents, changes, backups, restorations, monitoring, and database security.
• Analyze and optimize database performance.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and production teams.
• Participate in architecture design and implementation of new database solutions.
• Contribute to technical and business projects, including version upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Document security, monitoring, backup, and recovery solutions.
• Support DevOps practices and ensure compliance with architecture and operational standards.
• Research and evaluate emerging database technologies, including Cloud and Big Data solutions.
• Define and propose architecture solutions aligned with infrastructure, operations, and security requirements.
• Support business units in the delivery of key projects.
• Participate in an on-call support rotation when required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA).
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database Administration.
• Experience with Performance Tuning, Backup & Recovery, and High Availability environments.
• Knowledge of Incident and Change Management processes.
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and automation practices.
• Experience with database security and monitoring tools.
• Ability to work autonomously within complex and large-scale environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Big Data technologies.
• Exposure to Cloud environments.
• Knowledge of database architecture best practices.
