Job summary

Empa-T is seeking a Data Scientist to join an international Insurance & Financial Services project, shaping data-driven strategies and building AI-powered solutions.

You will design and deploy ML models and scalable pipelines, collaborating with diverse teams to translate complex data into actionable business insights. The role requires strong Python expertise, knowledge of MLOps, and fluency in English. Hybrid work in Lisbon is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related roles.
• Strong experience with Machine Learning algorithms and model development.
• Experience in Data Analysis, Statistical Modeling, and Predictive Analytics.
• Solid knowledge of Python and AI/ML ecosystems.
• Experience with MLOps frameworks and ML lifecycle management.
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions.
• Knowledge of Knowledge Graphs and Linked Data technologies.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable data and AI architectures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in defining data-driven and AI-focused strategies
• Design, develop, and deploy ML and AI solutions to address business challenges
• Build predictive and analytical models to generate actionable insights
• Develop and optimize ML pipelines and MLOps practices for scalable deployments
• Work with LLMs and Generative AI technologies to create innovative solutions
• Design and implement Knowledge Graphs and Linked Data solutions
