Job summary

emagine is seeking a Data Scientist to lead the development of cutting-edge AI/ML solutions in a hybrid role based in Lisbon. You will design, train, fine-tune and deploy Generative AI models, including LLMs, and collaborate with product teams to deliver impactful AI-powered features.

You'll apply retrieval-augmented generation, perform feature engineering, and leverage vector databases and cloud platforms. Strong English and a passion for innovation are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on ML/AI development experience.
• Strong expertise in Generative AI, model training, fine-tuning, deployment.
• Experience with open-source and commercial LLMs.
• Proficiency in implementing RAG techniques.
• Experience with vector databases.
• Advanced Python programming with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms for AI/ML deployments.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools.
• Fluency in English (C1+) mandatory, willingness to learn French.

• Experience with open‑source and commercial LLMs.
• Proficiency in implementing RAG techniques.
• Experience with vector databases.
• Advanced programming skills in Python with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face.
• Deep understanding of NLP techniques and architectures.
• Practical experience with traditional AI/ML methods such as decision trees, SVMs, clustering, and neural networks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for AI/ML deployments.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication in public and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English (C1 level or higher) is mandatory.
• Willingness to learn French.
