Job summary

Swisscom is expanding its Lisbon footprint and seeking a Data & Integration Architect to own the integration layer of the AI tooling suite. You will design interfaces, build source adapters, and ensure governance across operational data sources for reliable AI-enabled workloads.

You will collaborate with product owners, network SMEs and data owners, contributing to the MVP and pilot while maintaining clear documentation and strong ownership of data contracts.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in data engineering, systems integration or integration architecture.
• Hands-on API development and integration experience in Python or a comparable language.
• Experience with REST/JSON, authentication, secrets, rate limits, error handling and observability.
• Experience designing schemas, data contracts, validation and normalization patterns.
• Practical cloud experience, preferably AWS.

Responsibilities

• Define the integration strategy and set reusable patterns for onboarded data sources.
• Design APIs, adapters, data contracts, authentication flows and failure‑handling patterns.
• Build retrieval tools and agent integrations while preserving provenance and meaning.
• Develop data‑access components using APIs, events, files or streams with schemas, validation, caching, and data quality monitoring.
• Represent timestamps, regions, services, incidents, KPIs and metadata consistently for cross‑source correlation.
• Expose operational capabilities as safe, well‑defined tools and support test scenarios.
• Maintain technical documentation and Architecture Decision Records, including KPI interpretation rules.
• Pair with external data and integration specialists during the MVP and pilot.
