Yonderland seeks a Data Governance Lead to own data policies across customer, product, and operations for its multi-brand environment. You will establish ownership, drive governance across DPOs and security, and build a stewardship network in a hybrid Porto setting.

You will craft policies for classification, retention, access, quality and privacy, define data contracts, and run a governance forum to drive clear decisions across the organization.

Qualificações

• Senior experience owning data governance in a multi-entity, multi-brand or multi-country org.
• Track record building governance from the ground up with practical policy.
• Experience with GDPR compliance alongside DPOs, security and legal.
• Strong knowledge of governance frameworks and adaptability.
• Deep understanding of classification, access, retention and privacy by design.
• Knowledge of data observability - lineage, freshness, quality, schema and distribution.
• Technical depth to work with engineers on governance in a modern data platform.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

• Write and maintain policies for classification, retention, access, quality and privacy.
• Define data ownership and accountability, including data contracts.
• Set the standard for metadata and documentation across domains.
• Build and coordinate the stewardship network of data owners and stewards.
• Run the governance forum and define decision rights.
• Act as reference point for DPOs and data teams on governance.
• Build playbooks, templates and reference documentation for governance controls.
• Agree data protection practices with security.
• Own the definition of PII and special-category data.
• Support GDPR and other obligations alongside DPOs and legal, including audits.
• Own data observability model - lineage, freshness, quality, schema, distribution.
• Set data quality standards and guide teams to implement them.
• Govern full data lifecycle through compliant routes and report progress.
