Metyis in Porto, Portugal is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Data Platform Lead to shape and deliver scalable data solutions across ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses and analytics platforms.

You will lead the technical roadmap, collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders, and mentor a small team to deliver robust data products on Azure, Databricks and modern cloud-native architectures.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in CS or a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in data engineering or analytics platforms.
• Proven track record in leading data architecture initiatives.
• Strong SQL, data modeling and ETL/ELT expertise.
• Hands-on with Azure, Databricks, Synapse and Airflow.
• Experience managing a small team.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the technical roadmap for data platforms and analytics products.
• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with data scientists and business teams to translate needs.
• Mentor teammates and drive high-quality data governance.
• Ensure data quality, security and compliance across systems.
• Coach and recruit as needed.
